Help!! 6w and no symptoms

I need some reassurance... I'm 6w today and besides a little breast tenderness I have no symptoms. I took a stimulant for adult ADD, but stopped it as soon as I got the positive home test (even though my OB told me I didn't need to a my PAP last year) I'm just psyching myself out because I don't "feel" pregnant. Anyone else feel this way???

Re: Help!! 6w and no symptoms

  • My advice? Don't stress and enjoy this time! The only symptom I had from week 4-6 was breast tenderness and once week 7 came I felt like I was hungover 24-7 if I didn't eat every 2 hours. Someone on this board said once that a symptom is a symptom, so even if it's just tender breasts, that is still something unusual telling your body that you are preggo. Hope that helps ease your fears a bit! H & H 9 months to you!

  • I am exactly 6 weeks today too and my only symptoms are tender breasts, fatigue, and cramping.

I'm trying not to worry, but it is hard.

  • I was literally feeling the exact same way as you, and I'm 7 weeks tomorrow. Had my ultrasound today and it was wonderful! I guess we just have to chalk it up to being lucky! :) Try not to stress, it's also early, symptoms could come anytime!

Think of no symptoms as a blessing. Some women ate violently ill throughout their pregnancies.

  • I am 6w from my LMP and my breasts have become more sore over that past 2 weeks and I started spotting on Sunday (maybe from intercourse on Friday?). It sucks that I do not really feel pregnant either. Got my hcg levels tested this morning and they are low so I have to go back next Friday. I hope for a better number and more symptoms! And I hope they are measuring  low because I am 5w due to ovulating a week later than I should have. FX for all of us!

  • I have no symptoms except a little fatigue. Just had my first ultrasound and baby is measuring normal and normal heartbeat so we are doing ok without morning sickness!

  • At week 6, I ha fatigue, breast tenderness, and mild cramps. I can remember wanting to "feel" pregnant once the cramps stopped. Be careful what you ask for!!! Nausea started at week 7 and is only getting worse. Enjoy what little you feel now.  All day sickness (never just morning) is no fun!'

This is exactly how I felt!!! Lack of symptoms made me feel as though I wasn't preggers. My boobs didn't hurt and i did t need to pee any more than usual. Then somewhere during my 6th week the nausea started. Nausea for me feels like I am car sick. And now I'm always eating every hour or so because if I don't then I feel horrible.

  • This is my third pregnancy with no symptoms.  First one, I had a miscarriage, second one I had a beautiful son, this one, no symptoms again.  Some people just don't get many symptoms, it's not really an indication of anything at this point, usually.  Just try to enjoy not feeling bad, because you will have so many other lovely aches and pains come 2nd and then 3rd trimester:)

  • I didn't have one symptom until I was 9 weeks - even now today at almost thirteen weeks, I only have major fatigue, nothing else.  So....enjoy the fact that you aren't having any other symptoms - I know I am!

  • I am the same way... 5w and the only "symptoms" I have are breast tenderness, which just started, and some fatigue. Occasionally, I have mild cramping but it's pretty infrequent. With my DS I had a fairly easy pregnancy too although I did feel nauseous.  It's easy to worry when you don't "feel" pregnant, but I think we should enjoy this time to the fullest and count our blessings!

Congrats, and H&H 9 mos!! Smile

  • I am pretty much in the same boat as you (except I'm 7 weeks now).

My breasts are very sore and I have "pregnancy bloat" (my pants are already fitting tighter, probably thanks to my growing uterus (which apparently at week 7 has doubled in size!)

But other than that I haven't had any of the fatigue, nausea, food aversion, etc that some women get.  Most of the time I feel just normal.

I've read that some women wish for morning sickness because it helps confirm the pregnancy because you then "feel" pregnant, however my best friend is 4 weeks ahead of me and started getting morning sickness at all hours of the day and night.  At one point she had to pull over on a busy road and vomit on the side.  That made me very happy to not have morning sickness.

Hang in there- you're probably just one of the lucky ones!
