Anna has been slowly waking up earlier and earlier. She used to wake-up between 6:30 and 7am. Then it became 6-6:30. Then 6:00am. This morning - she was up and AWAKE at 5:40am. so not ok!!!
And, not sure if it is related, but this is even after her bedtime has shifted later a bit. She used to go down at 6:30/6:45pm. Now it is more like 7/7:15pm, purely due to logistics with Harrison. She is showing signs of sleepiness by 6:30ish for sure, but I am having a hard time getting her in bed by then when I am on my own (which I am every weeknight until after bedtime for the kids).
So what would you do?   Try to move her bedtime back up (doable - I just need to rearrange some things, I think)?   Keep with the later bedtime but cut back on her nap?   She naps anywhere from 2-3 hours... I could wake her after 2 hours no matter what to make sure she doesn't get too much daytime sleep?   Both? Other suggestions?
Re: waking earlier despite later bedtime?
My bet is its the sun as well.. You may need to get additional black out curtains.
My son used to wake up between 5-5:30 everyday. We moved his bedtime up by an hour and he suddenly started sleeping until 7-7:30 (we had already tried pushing it back and it didn't help at all). It only lasted a few weeks and he has slowly been waking up a bit earlier, but I think this is because the sun is rising earlier. He is currently waking up around 6:30, but that is still much better than him waking up at 5:00 like he used to.
I think it might be worth a shot to move her bedtime back up again.

I would move bedtime back to where it was and get her room pitch black...
I hate those early morning wake ups....Parker is up at 5am everyday, but I can normally buy myself another 1.5 hours if I nurse him back down.
Same thing happening with my DS1 over the past couple of weeks. We haven't changed his bedtime routine at all. I'm guessing it's sun related? I already have black out shades but the sun is still creeping in a little bit. He used to wake up around 7:45 and today it was 6:45. I'm thinking of getting one of those lamps that the liight turns green when he can call for me.
I'd keep the bedtime where it is (speaking from someone with a DS2 now.. I know how hard it is at bedtime when there's two of them.. if you have a routine that works I would try to keep it until the baby dictates changing it around). I try not to mess with naps too much but do wake up DS1 after 2.5 hrs. Hopefully just a phase.

Hmm... its pretty dark in there, but the sun does creep in. Maybe it is worth figuring out how to make it darker. We're in a rental and there are some permanent blinds in the room, but maybe I can tape some black paper to the window or something. ha!
And I'll probably try to get her down as close to 6:30pm as I can tonight, just to see what happens. DH is the one that gets up with Anna in the mornings (so I can get extra sleep after being up with Harrison), but on the days he travels, if I have to get up for the day any earlier than 6pm, I might not make it. LOL!
Because we're fancy like that.
We are at my MIL's right now and things have been a little crazy but I have been very consistent w jakes schedule and making sure he goes to bed at the same time and naps at the same time..
Anyway all last week when I was in ny he was sleeping 730ish to 7am.. W a two two and a half hour nap.. Since I have been here he has been waking up at 545 am not sure why.. This am I went in once told him to go back to bed and didn't go in until 10 of 7.. I am hoping it's just a phase like his no napping thing a few weeks ago was and all will go back to Normal..
