This is ridiculous. I'm only 9 weeks. I know that I should not be eating an increased amount of food, but I'm ravenously hungry ALL the time and I know it's not my imagination. My stomach is grumbling violently and I just ate lunch. I've tried eating a sensible snack in the AM and another in the PM before dinner, but the hunger is so gnawing that I can't even concentrate on work. It's crazy!!!! I'm obsessing about eating and I don't want to gain 50 pounds w/ this pregnancy.
I know some of you can relate. I can understand being hungrier later during the pregnancy, but 9 freaking weeks? Come on!
Re: How are you dealing w/ insatiable hunger?
I have been going through that this week too, no matter what it's not enough. I stocked my fridge with apple slices and Triscuit, for some reason those seem to fill me up quite a bit more.
I definitely know how you feel though!
I'm just trying to snack on filling things. One thing I love is edamame. We get it at Costco and I can heat up a small package at work and snack on that, it tends to fill me up really well. Also, Progresso has a light soup that is very filling. I also find I am not necessarily hungry in the morning, bu munchy, so sometimes I'll snack on reduced sodium sunflower seeds just to combat the munchies.
GL!
Who says you should not have an increased appetite since you got pregnant?
I'm hungry all the time - but what I noticed helps me is little snacks every hour or so. Right now, for instance, I'm munching on almonds... I know that if I don't snack, my tummy begins to grumble violently too. I am seriously eating constantly and I have gained 2lbs so far, and my doctor says its pretty good.
I'm eating something every 2 hours, minimum. I was worried I was overdoing it but I've only gained 2 lbs so far, so clearly baby needs it.
Just eat several small healthy snacks throughout the day
That's what I'm saying....I'm trying to bring snacks to work, but I can't bring enough. I eat my snacks and then I'm still hungry. I ought to just put a vending machine in my cube.
And I'm constantly filling up my water bottle, so I know it's not thirst.
No reason you shouldn't be hungry, even at only 9 weeks!
From about 8w-18w, I had food on my desk at all times. Crackers, pb, goldfish, fruit snacks, pickles, yogurt, apple, Air Heads, whatever sounded good at the time!

I've just started to like food again. And I'm so burnt out from the crackers and dry cereal that I ate during all the morning sickness. I do try to eat smaller things with less time in between. I'm still hungry
