Update on me....(long-ish again)

So...I posted about not gettin a positive on a OPK yet.....I finally got the nurse to call me back about 5mins ago after I left her like 4 messages! Gah! She said that the dr. said if I didn't get a surge by cycle day 17 to call and come in for monitoring so they can see whats up?? I'm not really thrilled with that answer....l am afraid that maybe I did just miss the surge...but then again I am afraid that I just didnt' get one and that this cycle is a total waste. Once again my follicle was at 16mm on cycle day 10......I don't know what to think! Should I just wait it out or call and demand to be monitored today? It is a 2 hour drive and I would be cutting it really close getting there by the time they close.......today sucks!

    I didn't O until cycle day 17 on my first femara cycle. I had a 16 on day 12 I think.  Maybe ask if you can go in tomorrow. I think its not horrible to call if you haven't o'd by cd 17 but it would give you peace of mind to go in tomorrow. I would just call and tell them that you really would like an u/s to see what is happening and give you peace of mind. GL

    I think that's what I will do! I am just stressing myself out not knowing whats going on......I would feel better knowing if I am going to ovualte or if I have already missed it....thanks pulgs!

    Do you ovulate on your own? I see you've used a trigger in the past, are you using on this cycle?

    Even if I am on meds, I will not ovulate on my own. I need the trigger no matter what. They monitor me until my follicle is at least an 18. Once its there, trigger will be 2 days following u/s, if its 19 or more at u/s then trigger is the next day or that night.

    I agree with Pulga, definitely head in tomorrow. It will relieve a lot of your stress.

    It's a hit or miss if I ovulate on my own. Sometimes I do sometimes not. My dr. wanted to see how I responded and if I would O on my own with Femara....who knows! I just wish I would have stuck with it and insisted on the trigger......

    I'm sorry this is so frustrating for you! Keep up with the opks for sure! Do you get any symptoms to tell that you o'd?  I can tell a day or two after because my nips get sooooo sore (sorry if that's tmi!)
