What do you love to see you diapers made out of?
In your fitteds do you like to see flannel, sherpa, bamboo, cotton velour or something else? What do you like to see your doublers made from?
What fabric do you perfer against babies skin? Microfleece, suede cloth something else? Do you know a fabric that wicks better then those?
What are your favorite soakers made from? Hemp, microfiber or something else?
-I am trying to find what is the best fabric to look for when buying diapers and I am thinking about making diapers for my LO but am a little over whelmed with all of the fabric choices. I need a good wicking layer because my LO's skin doesn't like to feel wet so I have been getting microfleece since I know that works well but I worry about the heat an am just curious to know if there are any better options out there.
TIA
You will never know how much you mean to me my little jelly Bean.
Mommy loves you Eevee!

Re: What is your favorite diaper fabric? (Poll)
In general, I prefer bamboo for everything
For fitteds, I like bamboo velour. For inserts bamboo or hemp are my favorites. For stay dry, I like fleece and haven't have any problems with heat. (CDs breathe better than disposables and don't get as hot overall.)
I'm not a fan of MF or other synthetic fabrics as inserts if you can afford better. They tend to have more problems with stink in the long run.
I am having the ultimate love affair with bamboo. Currently, both my kids are in them. I double the bamboo with a hemp, and they are so much more trim and absorbant than MF!
I do prefer microfleece for liners when needed, and for wipes. I'm not a seamstress, so I bought some bamboo wipes - may as well have bought more washcloths. But the fleece is so much better for wipes, I only need one for a VERY messy poo!
