My daughter wants a ballerina party for her 4th birthday. I asked her tonight who she wants to invite, and she has some boys on her list. Any ideas on how I can include them in this tutu-filled extravaganza?

Re: Ballerina birthday party with boys?
My boys went to a princess party and didn't really notice until it came time for the cupcakes. They didn't want ones with princesses on them (little plastic cup cake toppers). Some also had rings so they took those instead.
If you are doing cupcakes maybe have a few with colored sprinkles on them? But honestly, eating a cupcake - or cake - with a ballerina on it won't ruin their whole day.
My twins are 5! My baby is 3!

You'll be surprised at how many boys would love to put a tu tu on and join in. DS would be one of them. I think it's funny to walk into his preschool class and see all the boys playing dress up in the princess costumes.
Edit: I have seen people throw Princess & Pirate parties for this reason which is really cute. I know you said ballerina but just a thought
We're in a similar situation. My four year old son wants a pirate birthday party and will be inviting a couple girls. I plan on having separate favors/activities for them so they don't feel too out of place. I won't spend a lot of time and money on it, but I'll offer girlie tattoos at the temporary tattoo station and recognize that they would probably much rather have a cheap plastic crown than an eye patch
My son was invited to a very girlie birthday party last year and honestly did not enjoy it... I think you just have to be prepared that some boys won't be into ballerinas or dress up.
