I've been terrible about updating on here but figure most of you are up to speed thanks to FB.
Hadley had her g-tube surgery on Friday. We were admitted into the hospital on Tuesday and had to delay surgery for 2 days due to a crazy staph infection she got out of the blue. Thankfully antibiotics took care of the infection quickly and surgery went off without a hitch. We were released on Saturday and got to go home!!
The g-tube has been a huge life saver. She's on a ton of meds now and the tube makes it all a breeze. She loves that she doesn't have to take any meds by mouth now and she often sleeps through the midnight doses when we sneak in to give them to her.
I thought I would be traumatized to see my baby girl with a tube in her tummy but honestly it doesn't bother me at all. It has made things so much easier on everyone that I see it as a blessing, not a curse!
Hadley is feeling so much better and is back to her feisty self. I think her strength has improved and she's even getting closer to walking now. Just a matter of time!
Thanks to everyone who has been so supportive during all this craziness in our lives. I appreciate all the warm thoughts!
Re: Hadley update
The next process will hopefully just be to watch her grow and develop. She is on the cystagon now which fights the crystal build up on her organs. She will go in for regular blood draws to monitor all of her levels. Meds will be added and altered according to how she's doing.
Fingers crossed she will get to presume a normal toddler life!

That's great! I'm glad the surgery went well and that you are all adjusting to the G-tube!
"When it comes to sleeping, whatever your baby does is normal. If one thing has damaged parents enjoyment of their babies, it's rigid expectations about how and when the baby should sleep." ~ James McKenna, Ph.D., Mother Baby Behavioral Sleep Center, University of Notre Dame
This is GREAT news! So glad things are going well after getting the g-tube. Hopefully, it's all up from here!!!
BTW - how was your trip out to the conference? Maybe I missed your update.
We leave for the conference this Thursday. I'm so excited!! I'll update on that once we get back. I'll also be blogging about our trip while we're there.
Fabulous! Enjoy the conference! You are an awesome Momma!
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
I'm so glad the surgery went well and the tube is making life a bit easier.
Continuing to think of you and your sweet baby girl!
