anyone awake? bloody show?

Just went to the bathroom and when I wiped there was a bright red blood clot about the size of a quarter. I wiped again and a glob of brownish mucous came out. I'm assuming that is (part of) my mucous plug.....and no reason to call my dr....but what about the blood clot? Everything I've read makes it sound like bloody show may be tinged with pink or red....not be a full on clot? At this point I'm planning to call in a couple of hours (7 am-- unless contractions, start up, I am crampy right now)....but does this warrant a call sooner? Thanks!

    I am not sure if it is the bloody show or not.  I would call now because the worst they will tell youis that it is the bloody show.  Good luck! 
    It took over four years to be diagnosed with PCOS. We TTC #1 for 18 months, did 5 rounds of Clomid and finally moved onto IVF...which worked! Throughout our IF journey, we suffered 3 miscarriages. We conceived both DD and DS without treatment.

    I don't know about the bloody show, but good luck!  I hope you are at the hospital right now.  I can't wait to hear your good news!

    I know I'm 2 hours late to this post, but I think you should call. They told me that if I had bleeding late in my pregnancy to call. I hope this is it for you!

    i am assuming you've called by now- my "bloody show" was not a clot, just pink/red blood. i called the OB right away, but my labor started immediately after that anyway, and i was in the hospital within 3 hours.

    Mine was more pink & mucousy, but labor was not super  imminent either time. With e, it was a week or more, with L, it was about 36hrs later. 

    Since it was more of a clot, glad you called! Good luck!!

    I had what seemed to me to be a lot of red bleeding (had to wear a pad) after I lost my mucus plug. Went to L&D and they sent me home. They called the bleeding bloody show.... I went into labor and DS was born 2 days later. Sending you lots of good thoughts!

    After 7 failed IUIs, IVF w/ ICSI worked!!

    I am thankful every day for my miracle after infertility.

    And thrilled to be pregnant again after FET!
