Online CoParenting Calendar

Hi Ladies, I'm a single mom who lurks but you all give good advice do I figured I would ask here.

Does anyone use an online co-parenting calendar? If you do which one do you use?

My ex and I have a very hostile relationship. We do not speak in the phone or text. Now the emails are getting ridiculous too. I'm looking for one that I can put any appointments LO might have and when his visits are.

 Thanks!

Re: Online CoParenting Calendar

  • Sorry about the typos. I'm on my phone and it won't let me fix them.

  • We just use Microsoft Outlook. You can create a calendar and then "share" it with whomever. And you can choose if others can edit it or just view it. But any changes you make will show up on their end automatically. We mostly just use it for our regular visitation schedule and to keep track of when we have the kids when BM is out of town, etc.

  • At one point we tried to start using Google Calendar that we shared with the EX's but neither of them really started using it so we just stopped updating it. But you could always try it.

  • We use google calendar too. I set it up so that BM had access and could add appointments to it as well since DH is the NCP. It's shared between DH, me & BM (because DH is forgetful and it's just easier that way for us).

It's nice because we put in the notes who is taking him etc.

ETA: It's also nice because we have it synced to our phones as well and it sends notifications when an appointment is a day away, etc.

  • We created a free website on shutterfly.  Ours has a calendar, a blog (to discuss his school progress, and anything else DS has been up to), an area for us to upload photos, and an important news section.

It allows us to keep BF feeling like he's in the loop without having to spend a great deal of time actually talking with him.  And the calendar can be set to send email reminders about events anywhere from 1 day to 2 weeks ahead of time.  There's a free app available for it as well if you're into that sort of thing.
