This morning, while showering, I noticed some white stuff coming out of one of my nipples. I totally freaked out! (FTM) Googled it when I got out and read about colostrum, but everything said it happens in the third trimester.
I'll be 16 weeks tomorrow and just wondering if anyone else has experienced colostrom production this early on and how long it lasted for. Was it everyday or just random? TIA!
Re: Colostrum -- Anyone else experiencing?
If it's white it's not colostrum. Colostrum is golden/yellow and is the first milk you produce for baby after birth, full of nutrients.
It's totally normal to leak from your breasts during pregnancy. With my 1st I started leaking at 24 weeks, with #2 I was 8 weeks along. I haven't experienced it with this pregnancy yet, but I imagine I will.
