Hi all,
I'm hoping you can trouble shoot this for me. The moby + walking/bouncing is pretty much my sure fire way to get cranky baby un-cranky. We use the kangaroo hold b/c she haaaaaaaaaaaaates the newborn hug hold.
I have trouble getting the kangaroo hold tight enough, though b/c I'm trying to hold LO and tie it and I can't get it tight enough to hold her up high.
A.) Any tips on dealing w/squirming/cranky baby while trying to tie it?
B.) Is is really not okay to use the regular hug hold w/a nb?
Thanks Moby/Wrap Experts!
Re: moby kangaroo nb hold
I could never figure out how to put the moby on while holding DD, so I usually put her down to tie it really tightly. Yes, sometimes she was crying but it was so much easier to do it right the first time (and have her cry for 2 minutes) than to have it too loose. DD got too long for the kangaroo hold and actually liked the hold where we were chest-to-chest (not sure what that one is called) even when she was really little. I made sure to support her head because she didn't like having her head tucked into the sleeve until she was sleeping... though I think this is why she got really good head and neck control when she was young.
I think you can put her in whatever hold is best for you and baby!
