  You are! the books all say the end of 12 weeks (which would be day 1 of week 13) but if you divide 40 by 3 you get 13.3 and you are now 13.4. So welcome to the second trimester!

  This confuses me as well.  I have my next OB appointment tomorrow and plan on asking the doctor what method he uses.  LOL

  YAY! Thanks for the clarification.  That makes sense.  I always had thought that the 2nd trimester started at 12 weeks but I just wasn't sure.  I'm so excited!  I feel like I have accomplished something during this pregnancy.  lol

  SAME.  I've seen some websites that say week 14, but yet my fellow preggo friend and mother say 12 weeks.  I'm at 12w2d now, so I think I'll celebrate this weekend to be sure.
