Update on first u/s

So there was a baby, but no hb. The tech told the doctor the baby measured at about 6 weeks, which does not jive with my lmp of 2/22. I am so confused as I thought I was 7weeks5days today. I have to go back in ten days for another u/s. I don't know how I am going to make it!! I wanted so badly to hear that hb today and finally get to share the news with my family. Now, I just don't know what to think and I am so worried. I am just sick about all of it.

As had been said to previous posters, you may have ovulated later in your cycle which could account for the "missing week" I'll be sending vibes for patience and peace as you wait through this uncertain time during the next ten days until your next ultrasound. You'll have to decide if you still want to tell your family or not. I would be cautious personally just because I'm very private and would not want to have to tell a lot of people if I did end up with a miscarriage. I really hope it doesn't come down to that for you.

If you weren't temping, then it's very likely that you ovulated late. I measured 5w5d when I "should" have been 7 based on LMP but my babe is doing just fine in there (had an u/s at 10w2d and he/she was looking good in there) It's really tough but keep your spirits up. The next u/s will be here before you know it.

Thanks, ladies! I hope that I did ovulate late and all is well. I am just not good at waiting at all. We have decided to not tell our parents until we know more. I don't want them to have to worry too.

I hear you, I'm very impatient too, especially when it comes to big important/exciting things like this. I think it's wise to not share with your parents until you know for certain that everything is okay. Here's to hoping the next nine days (because today is nearly over!) go by quickly!
