Movement monitors for home

Hey ladies, I was just wondering if any of you used these or are planning on using these. The two I am looking at are the angel care and the snuza halo. Both have great reviews, and of course have their pro's and con's. I just know this will bring me peace of mind when DD gets to come home. If you used one which one did you use? Or is there another brand you would suggest? TIA

Re: Movement monitors for home

  • I used angel care, my monitor was around $100 off amazon.  My sister is an MD and got an angel care for her DS so thats why i chose it.  My DS in his sleep used to start out in the middle of his crib, turn left, move till he got to the corner, turn left, move till he got to the other corner, turn left,  and move down to the bottom of the crib my morning.  We called it "nascar laps". When he was at those corners the monitor would go off b/c I guess it couldn't sense him.  But it works!

  • We have an Angelcare, but the NICU will be sending us home with a A/B monitor so we'll be using that for as long as we have it.

  • We use the Snuza Go.  Awesome because they can wear them anywhere (in the crib, in the rock n play, etc).

  • We use the Snuza Halo.  I love being able to just clip it on his diaper or over a light onesie (with pants).

  • We have an angelcare monitor. We love it. Haven't had any false alarms and DS is ALL OVER the crib when he sleeps. The only time it goes off is when we lift him out of the crib and walk out of the room without turning it off. At least it reassures us that it's working. Smile

  • I love my angelcare monitor. Our LO is all over the place in his crib and it still picks him up and also the ticking sound while in the beginning was kind of hard to fall asleep to now slowly puts me to sleep at night, its reassuring. The only negative so far is the monitor in our living room seems to have a lot of interference. I've tried changing the channel on but still very fuzzy sounds, when he cries my husbadn says it sounds like aliens are in his room lol. But it still works and still beeps if he's taken out of the crib or something. Definately the best thing we go for LO!
