Going into Labor and Repeat c-section

Dr. has my repeat c-section scheduled for 39 weeks.  I dont know why but I am freaking out about going into labor before the scheduled day.  With DS I had pre-eclampsia was put on bedrest at 33 weeks and ended up being induced due to a fever at 36 and half weeks ended up having DS at 37 weeks via c-section since my water was leaking.

I have a lot of anxiety about going into labor, the Dr. said to call her as soon as my contractions are timeable or if my water leaks or breaks etc.  

I am just praying really hard that nothing happens and I can just show up at the hospital on May 23rd as scheduled.

    I had this fear all 3 times (first 2 were breach).......BUT, I made it to my scheduled c-section all 3 times so far. And my dates were at 39w5d and the last 2 were 39w3d........

    I hope to make it this time too, only because getting someone to watch my 3 other kids at short notice is not easy......

    I asked my dr. about this and she said to just go to the hospital and they would call her and she would come do the C/S at taht time.

    My c-section was scheduled about 10 days ago and I was really worried too. However, I made it this far (knock on wood) and my c-section is scheduled tomorrow.

    My doc said pretty much the same as PP, that if my water leaks, or if I am having timeable contractions to call and go in and he would do the c-section then. He was out of town this weekend so I was really on edge.

    Hang in there! Most likely all will go as planned:-)

    This has nothing to do with much but I had my first c section with my DD on may 23rd!! Lucky day I think lol!!! I hope you make it that far and congrats!!

    I had a repeat c section scheduled for my second child on March 5th. I was supposed to go to the hospital at 6:00 a.m. for the RCS to occur at 8:00.  My water ended up breaking at 12:45 that morning so I went into labor before the section.  I just went to the hospital and the on-call doctor from my practice did the c-section.  Other than the fact that it was not quite as calm as I had expected it to be since my water broke in the middle of the night and we had to get someone to come watch DS#1 so we could go to the hospital, there were no issues.  Try not to be too worried about going into labor before the scheduled date - if it happens, just get to the hospital and you will get to see your baby earlier than expected!  Good luck!
