WTF Appointment Follow-up

I was very happy with my WTF appointment on Friday.  Upset at DH for being late, but everything else went smoothly.  He said that we're going to change the protocol from Long Lupron to an antagonist protocol.  He also said we are going to try assisted hatching and a 3 day transfer. 

I told DH that I was so happy, I was going to tebow in the parking lot.   Hopefully this will be our ticket for getting pregnant.  I went from no hope to full of hope again. 

I asked RE about acupuncture, and he said that's fine, but they would prefer us not to use the chinese herbs.  Has anyone's RE said anything like this?

    Glad you have a plan!! My RE said no to herbs too. He said he's seen some patients take certain herbs that ended up messing with their hormone levels. Also- they just don't know what exactly is in the herbs and how/if it interacts with the meds that the RE will put you on.  He was very supportive of acu though. GL!

    I don't think u will find an acu that will tell u herbs are ok.  I have done them, and think they help with egg quality...but i stop them before i started stims.

    I also did better w antagonist than long lupron.  GL, hope this is it for u!!!!!

    Antagonist has been a much better protocol for me. I hope you respond better to it too.  

    As for the herbs, my acu wanted me to take some but my RE said not to period.  I am taking a number of supplements however.

    Antagonist has been much better for me as well than long lupron. Having a plan always makes it all feel better for now. So good luck with your new plan and I have fingers crossed for you.

    AMH .75 VERY POOR RESPONDER
    IUI #4 cancelled due to only one egg responding 
    IUI#5 cancelled on CD 10,  (3) follicules were still very small even on 300 IU's of Follistim. Also found fluid in my uterus from C-section scar

    Beta #1 8/10/15 13DPO-   9.2 (fingers crossed this sticks)
    Beta #2 8/12/15 15DPO   39- progesterone 18

    My RE vetoed both herbs and supplements, so I strictly do acu. I had a huge hormone panel done recently, and all my hormone levels were in normal range, so I'm not about to mess with that. Good luck to you!

    YAY! for a plan. My RE is ok with acu but not herbs. I have been taking herbs since we are not doing treatments. However, I may stop b/c they taste horrible.

    Glad you have a plan!  I'm seriously considering adding accu to the mix for IVF #2.  I know my RE actually works with an accu in the area.

    It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.
