I dropped bacon on my arm while transferring it from the pan this morning. I couldn't find my burn cream and now I have a nice little blister or two. I can't for the life of me remember if you're supposed to pop them or not? I figured experienced moms would have the answer.
Re: Burn blisters - to pop or not to pop?
haha... lmao thanks! Wow - I hope my labor is no worse than a stomach ache!
You aren't supposed to, but I always do.
I pop them, drain them and then put neosporin and a band aid on it.
I don't pop them until they are a few days old (if I can help it). Then I just make a small pin prick in the blister so it can air out a little. I leave the skin on.
Make sure you run the burn under cold water to take some heat out. Hope it feels better soon, burns are the worst!
Way late to this, but no. Don't pop. The reason it blisters is because the fluid protects the damaged skin and helps it to heal.
