2nd car seat suggestions for traveling

DH doesn't want to travel w/our car seat for a couple of reasons and wants to purchase one that can be shipped to my parents house and leave there for future visits. However, I just paid $$$ for the Britax Blvd and don't want to spend the same amount of money when we're not going to be traveling that often back east. Any suggestions on a good but affordable 2nd car seat?

Cosco Scenera should be about $50 at Target. It can be a pain to install though.

We bought this one for my parents and we have a spare we use when we fly places. https://www.amazon.com/Safety-Alpha-Omega-Convertible-Lamont/dp/B0043D2A9O/ref=sr_1_7?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1334597668&sr=1-7 I did not want our Recaro's to get ruined by the airline and this one can grow with DS all the way to booster seat. It does not have the highest safety rating but he will not be in it that often and I can always replace it if it is damaged by airline.

The safety 1st avenue is on sale for $50 at albeebaby. People car-seat.org recommend it as a good, inexpensive seat.
