So a new family just moved into the rental next to our house. We have seen them and their kids out in the yard a few times. Mostly we just give a little wave or a "Hi". But they haven't been there long and we definitely aren't friends. (Side note: if a dog or critter gets into their trash, they just leave it laying all over the road/driveway and if god forbid it's windy, then all of the area neighbors get a little bit of this joy!)
The guy is out in his yard on the cell phone Friday and Sandy is out blowing leaves off the driveway. He gets her attention and proceeds to ask her to borrow a few dollars for gas.
WHAT?!?!? She was like...uh no. I don't have any cash on me.
I am always amazed at the audacity of people!!
Re: and the nerviest new neighbor award goes to....
Okay, that is odd. But maybe the guy actually needed the money so badly that he wasn't even thinking about whether he really knew Sandy. FWIW, I never have cash so my answer would have been the same.
