So we find out next week what we are having but our top name picks are Eisley (pronounced eyes-lee) for a girl and Jett for a boy. We have a pretty common last name that starts with a J. Some middle names for Eisley we are thinking are Kathleen or Anne. and some middle names for Jett are Randall or Gregory. The middle names are after people in our family.
So let me know what you think!
Re: Opinion on Eisley and Jett.
I don't like either.
How about Isla (eye-la) and Rhett instead?
I'm sorry but I don't like either.
I like the PP's suggestion of Isla instead of Eisley.

Yup! Eisley is seriously horrible. And a LOT of people are Star Wars fans, so many people would be making that connection to Mos Eisley. Plus, it just sounds and looks ugly.
Jett is bad, but not as bad as Eisley.
Jett is.. meh, ok
Eisley is bad
Jett = trying too hard.
Eisley sounds like a random last name to me.
I really, really, strongly dislike both of these.
Your middle name choices are lovely, however.
I associate Jett with someone who is really into airplanes. And not really in a good way.
Eisley reminded me of Star Wars.

I love me some Eisley brothers for baby making, but not for baby naming.. seems a bit weird for me. I could be more on board if it was the mn.
Jett is just a misspelled word to me. I wouldn't use it.
Eisley is NMS. Just looks and sounds like trendy Paisley but less "complete".
Jett is hilarious. You are sealing his fate that he will never be a jet pilot. Because if he does, he will still be getting teased about his name in his 20s and 30s. It is just cheesy. It rings like Maverick to me - another cheesy, trying too hard, "I feel the need for speed" name.

It's not my style, but I don't mind Jett. I think Jett Gregory is nice. One of my girlfriends has a little boy named Jett Cameron and he is darling.
I really dislike Eisley. I think it's too cutesy and awkward to say and spell. Sorry.
Eisley is interesting. I don't think I hate it, but I don't particularly like it. It reminds me of "wilely," and gives off this sneaky, underhanded vibe to me. Have you considered Isla (eye-lah)? It's similar, but prettier.
I'm probably in the minority, but I really like Jett. I'm a huge fan of the movie Giant, and James Dean's character is named Jett. It has a cool, cowboy vibe.
I don't like either of them. Jett screams that you're trying really, really hard to give your kid a cool name. What about using something like Jarrett and giving him the nn Jett?
I also like the band Eisley, but not enough to name my kid after them. What about Isla? Or Eileen?
I don't like either. Eisley looks like it's missing letters on the front, and I don't see it as something that will grow well. Jett is... well, just eh.
I think Anne, Kathleen and Gregory should be considered for FNs

Thanks for all your opinions...gives me some things to think about!
I still like them, especially Jett. I don't think Isla is an option, I think that is a terrible name...But I see how pronouncing Eisley is hard.

I agree with all of this except Rhett sounds like Retch to me and I can totally see kids calling him that.
