Stupid ftm question....

Can I prevent him from dropping by sitting too much? I sit at work all day and I'm afraid he will never drop! I wish he would so I could breathe! Any recommendations?

  • Try not to think about it too much... you're a FTM, it's likely that you'll go past 40 weeks, so you've got time. Lot of babies don't even drop until you go into labor. Try to focus on something else.

Ohhhh I feel you there. I'm always poking LO down and telling him to stop hanging onto my ribs...they are not monkey bars!

  • you could sit on a ball, it might help but really baby will drop when it feels like it!
  • My baby didn't drop until I was in active labor. But she moved fast once things got going.

  • I had wanted mine to drop to free up some room up top.  But now that she has started and lightening crotch is setting in I realize there is no good position when she is simply this crowded haha.  No matter where she sits, SOMETHING feels imposed upon.  My newest discomfort is a double whammy.  I think she is stretching out which causes pressure down low where her head is while simultaneously punching my ribs with I assume her little feet.

yep, it's the stretching. I swear the baby feels like it's headbutting my bladder and cervix and kicking my lungs and ribs at the same time. Not good times.
