I know I am ahead of myself here...
My kids will be 24-25 months apart. I have no idea what to expect for where DD will be at, when the LO is born. I also want something that will be appropriate for a year or two after.
What do you have? Suggest? Wish you had? Pro's/Con's?

Re: Stroller ?'s
a single to double is a great choice - b/c you can use it as both --- since your older child will sometimes not need a stroller.... sometimes will, etc. You won't have to change otu strollers all the time.
I LOVE my BJ City Select with a passion- but i have heard it's not as great for baby + toddler - something about the weight distribution - but honestly I dno't see that being a big deal.
I used to have a Phil & Teds that I loved- and have a TON of friends who have it for toddler + baby and love it.
Britax B Ready with the extra seat is a good option.... there are a few others that have that system with the extra seat --- though i'm not as big of a fan of these b/c the 2nd seat is low and in the back --- that's why i prefer the Select b/c both seats have a great view, and can be turned either way -f acing each other, you, front, etc. and is so fast to make into a single. Huge storage, too - which the others lack if you have a toddler in the bottom/back seat.
Really? DS and DD are 24 1/2 months apart and we have the BJCS. I don't see it as that big of a deal, or even took notice to it. The only thing I notice is the uneven sidewalks (I'm talking the big uneven ones, like what would make you fall on your face if you weren't paying attention), I have an issue with getting up over those since I can't "pop a wheelie" with DS over the front tires. I can lift it up over if I pull up underneath DS. He's about 27-28 lbs now. He definitely needs the stroller (he's 25 months old), he needs the confinement and he actually still enjoys it. I received this on Jan. 1st and we were using it as a single before DD arrived and DS never had an issue being stuck in it for 2-3 hours during my OB/NST/AFI/MFM appointments. I have also used it with just her in it if he's at daycare. I love not having to worry about which stroller I have in the trunk. Even today we went for a walk and saw a playground and we stopped to play, when he was finished without me asking, he climbed into the stroller to go home.
I once had a picture until the trolls showed up.

"If we weren't all crazy we would go insane."
that's good to hear. I didn't think it woudl be a big issues- but some people have mentioned it.
any tandem double is hard to pop a wheelie with over curbs... only a SBS is easy to do that.... but those are a PITA to get around in stores, between clothing racks, between seats at the doc office, etc.
the select is my favorite of all my strollers- and i have owned MANY (about 13 i think)
I'm loving my Phil and Ted's Dash, though I haven't used it with the second seat yet. I chose it because I could use it as a single if DS outgrows the stroller while DD is still in it (He'll be exactly 2.5 years when she's born ... At almost 29 months he still doesn't mind the stroller, though we are having him walk more and more.)
I am thankful every day for my miracle after infertility.
And thrilled to be pregnant again after FET!
