When are you going on mat.leave?? (for working moms)

My last day is April 17th (TAX DAY) - I will be 38wk2days. Can't WAIT.

Some of you are probably taking more time off before your due date - others are probably working up until baby comes. Just curious

** I would probably work up until LO one came, but since I generally take time off after tax season anyway - it's just working out this way. Hopefully he won't be too late! )

I plan on working until my LO comes. I plan on taking off 16 weeks Mat Leave once he is here.

I plan on working up until d-day... although my manager approached me this week and said that maybe the 2nd week in April I should start working from home so I can at least eliminate my commute (so nice of her!). I'm in corporate taxes and we have a deadline to deliver to the IRS by May 1st and I'm in charge!!! So I really hope I make it to the end and can meet this deadline!!

I will be taking 3 months for maternity leave after LO arrives. :-)

I also want to save my time for after baby is here. But if I know her arrival is imminent - like if I'm overdue and have a an induction scheduled in a few days- I'll take a few days off beforehand.

I will be working until I'm due, but working from home the last couple of weeks. My doc just told me I have to work from home next week as well (found out I am dialated to a 1 at my appointment today). I'm hoping after this, everything is going well so I can head back to work for a while longer.

My last day is April 13th! My expected due date is May 11th. I haven't taken any holidays so i'm taking what I got for holidays and giving myself a good month to relax and prepare for baby. I wonder if this is the right choice and what others think... but really screw it! I have worked hard and being pregnant has been hard anf such a challenge so time to chill and prep for my lil girl.

I plan on working until I go into labor... I'd rather have as much time to spend on mat leave after LO gets here, rather than before... plus I HATE just sitting at home doing nothing, I get too bored too easily.

Well..originally, I planned on my last day being 4/29 (38w). Then, we found out that we are closing on our house 4/24...so I bumped it up to 37w. As of right now, though, my doctors have told me that they don't want me working past 36w (4/15), but I could be pulled anytime between now and then depending on how things go, because my blood pressure has been relatively high and I've been swelling something fierce - and being on my feet all day (retail) is not helping. So we will see! So I guess that leaves me with 2 more weeks.

I'm planning on working till I go into labor. That being said, the stress from work right now (its tax season and I'm the go to person for tax questions, especially when it comes to high asset clients) makes me wonder if I might get pulled before then. If I can get through April 17 I think I'll be good till I'm in labor. Its just making it through April 17!

My last official day is May 25 (due May 29). Though, I will be using saved vacation days my last week of work so my last working day is May 18. I'm in Cananda so I'll still have lots of time with baby even if he comes really late.

There's a conference literally two blocks from my house during the week before my pregnancy that I may attend. So my last day in the office will be the Friday before (39w 1d) and I'll go to the meeting if I feel up to it. I'm looking forward to a few days off at home before his arrival with DS.

Not sure yet, my Dr. likes you to be out 4 weeks before your due date. I have vacation scheduled started April 20th and then the following week. I am going to come back for a week if possible and then be off Starting May 7th with my scheduled c-section May 23rd.

I will have to see what the Dr. says.

I'm planning to work until I go into labor. DH is in school, so I make 95% of our money & my maternity leave is unpaid. I'm going to save all my time off for when she is here

I am planning on working until delivery. But baby is due May 23, the Wednesday before Memorial Day. Thursday is my busy day and Friday will likely be a 1/2 day, so in my head, I'm not planning on coming back after May 25. If she is born after Memorial Day I will at least get paid for the holiday! We'll see what happens.

My last day of work is May 11 and my due date is May 12. Although I've prepared work to know that it could be sooner. I just didn't want to be sitting at home with nothing to do but wait for baby if she's going to be coming late. I am pretty much ready to go. I'm actually hoping she comes a week early though (I'm sure I'm not alone in this thought!)

April 27th will be my last day. I've got too long of a commute to work much past that. Even though I will be officially on sick leave then, I might take a couple of days in the following week to go in and finish up some paperwork...

I will be 36 weeks on the 27th.

I was wanting to work until May 4th (Due May 11th) and use my personal days until LO comes, but my blood pressure is not cooperating with me. Spring Break is this week and I have a bad feeling my doc is going to say no more work because its making me feel sick and its hard on me. Maybe I can cut it to half days.

I would like to say that I will work right up until LO arrives (due May 29) since I do not qualify for maternity leave and will be technically quitting my job and then hopefully being rehired 6 weeks after LO arrives. But I am already feeling exhausted some days and think maybe a few days planned off before my due date to relax might be a good idea. I am planning on talking to the dr. on April 11 about what his recommendations would be. Hubby is supportive either way and says he'd pick up a 2nd job to help cover the income loss if need be, but I would love to keep working and so that I could actually spend time with him before LO arrives.

April 13th is my last day and my c section is scheduled for April 30th. I have a 3 year old and LOTS to do so I need 2 weeks. I'm on maternity leave for 4 months.

Do you work in public accounting? I do, and I've love to stop working after tax day. But I'm sticking around until May 18th, unless he comes earlier. Things really slow down at work after tax day, so it seemed worth it to get a few extra weeks in.

I'm working up until the end.

With DS#1, I stopped work right before my due date and was then a week over due. I felt like I wasted a whole week of my maternity leave, that I would have much rather had to spend with DS.

With DS#2, I worked until the day before I was induced. With that said, the doctor said "we're inducing you tomorrow" and it was 6 days before my due date...

I want to work until the last minute, but my boss needs a last definite day barring any other reasons I need to leave earlier. I think I'm going to tell her May 11th, I'm due May 13th. Then I can leave early if I so desire, but can work until my due date too.

I'm working right up until I absolutely have to go... I'd be way to bored at home waiting for her to arrive otherwise!! Plus my job isn't physically exhausting (emotionally maybe... I'm a school counselor Smile ) and I'm still feeling great in that respect.

My kids asked me today what would happen if my water broke during class... I just told them I'd be pretty embarassed because it would look like I peed my pants!

My last day is Apr 18th. Will be about 36w then. Wanted to work until the end, but it's getting too much and I am tired, an grumpy at work. People irritate me to begin with, but since pregnant it's 100% worse, think its better to leave early then risk hurting someone because of raging hormones.

I am due May 30th and last day is May 4th ... I get up to 4 weeks off with state disability and its either use it or lose it you dont get the extra time after the baby is here ...... plus I have an hour commute to work so the Dr didnt want me driving that far ..and i have 12 weeks off after through disability and state plan...... so i will be out all summer pretty much from my job....... they have not even started talking about a temp replacement while I am out so not sure what they are thinking I am the only full time paralegal in law firm I work in its a small office ........

I'm going on Mat. Leave next week, April 23rd. I will be 34 weeks. I am a teacher and due the last day of school so I can use my 6 weeks maternity leave before the baby arrives. My kids don't want me to leave, but up on my feet all day, walking around, and doing labs & activities is beginning to be too much. I will have all summer to recoop.
