Tell me about how much trouble a nurse can get into for giving out details (to non hospital personnel/patient/family) about Goings on at the hospital. Such as runs that come into the ER, mistakes made by the ambulance crew (operated by the hosp.) and taking pics of patients in a bed and sending them to a friend.
THis is not things I did but about someone i am thinking about reporting. Thank you

You should definitely report the person taking pics of patients. That most definitely is a HIPPA violation and that person should be terminated. The other things are totally unprofessional but not illegal.
I know someone that looked at lab results for someone she had no rights to be looking at...she was fired immediately.
HUGE deal. I would most certainly report if I had such knowledge
Giving any names or other identifying details of a patient would surely get her fired. That's a crazy HIPPA violation.
Photos? That makes me shudder. Horrid. She should lose her job.
