As I Sit Here With An IV

I realize how over this process I am...the couple in the bed next to me are all giggly getting ready for their first retrieval.

The nurse asked me how many of these IVs I have and I realized it is either 9 or 10. They are so sweet here but I can tell they feel sorry for me. My file is SO thick!

After so much heartache it is so hard to manage any hope and I hate that I have become this way.

At least it is good to see others here who are excited and hopeful and I really hope they do get their take home baby/babies.

Oh geez. I'm so sorry. You may not feel like it in this moment, but there's hope alive deep down in you, otherwise you wouldn't be doing this. And know that you have lots of ladies keeping hope alive for you when you feel like you can't. Big hugs and best of luck.

Hugs. Believe me, I know how you feel. Sometimes, it's tough, but I know we have to remain positive because our take home babies are waiting out there for us... I just know it. Tons of T&Ps heading out to you this cycle. Stay strong.

Thanks so much ladies. It just made me sad because I remember feeling that nervous excitement for my first retrieval but now it is not just getting pregnant but trying to stay pregnant. Baby steps right?

Wormsie I hope to see you over there soon. My last b/w showed my NKs did come down some so we are sticking with intralipids for now.

Did you do your IVIG? If so how was it?

I am really hoping that this is your time. I absolutely know that feeling. During my 5th IVF, I felt like I was so grumpy. I kept squeezing DH's hand because everyone was annoying me with all their positivity and hope.

Did you do your IVIG? If so how was it?

i did IVIG, it was done over 2 days, 30 grams per day. it was ok, much slower than intralipids. you feel flu-like symptoms from it so i had chills and headache. i took tylenol and was fine.

i will have immune b/w back this week so hopefully nk's have come down and i am done with infusions.

I think I realized at IVF 3 ET that they should have another area for those on their 2 and 3rd tries. At ER there was a girl who I heard them tell her she had gotten 20 eggs. I was still happy with my 12, but was sad I didn't get 20.

At my ET the girl next to me was there for a 5 day with 2 blasts. The RE said they were really high quality. She was going to have 7 or 8 to freeze. The RE told her she was sure they would have twins. I wanted to cry. I was there with one one 6 cell on day 3.

Yeah it sure as hell is something that gets old fast. When I was sitting at my 4th transfer, I'm not sure I had an ounce of actual hope left. It just beat the $hit out of u. Hugs and good luck!!!
