Acid Reflux...

My son will be 11 weeks Monday and has been on Prilosec for acid reflux since he was 6 weeks.  I have noticed for the past week that he is spitting up a lot more and smells sour.  I am assuming this is from the acid reflux.  Did anyone else experience this?  And if so if your baby was formula fed, did you switch to a different formula?

    My DS is also on Prilosec and sometimes spits up nothing but clear acid that smells sour. Supposedly the medicine doesn't help with spit up just pain. He isn't uncomfy when this happens, he's formula fed

    Yeah, the medicine is just for the pain. Most likely your Lo's throat needs to mature. Just make sure you don't over feed. Also keep the baby elevated after eating and avoid bouncing. That is all you can really do. My baby is on Zantac which is also just for pain.

    Thank you!  As long as he isn't in pain, I don't care about the spitting up.  I was more concerned that he was in pain/it hurt him.
