Ipad childproof case recs?

We bought the new Ipad today.  We thought it would be very useful for our daughter with a lo on the way.  I need recs for childproof cases.  Please tell me the one you use for your lo and what the pros and cons are.  I need something that protects it if it is dropped... TIA

  • We have an ipad1 and have it in an otterbox hard case. It makes it about twice as heavy but it's definitely protected! I have a hard otter case on my iPhone and have dropped it multiple times and it's always been fine.
After 20 months, 3 Clomid cycles and 4 IUI cycles, IVF #1 with ICSI = BFP!

  • We use the otterbox defender.  C has dropped it with no problems.  There is a lighter version, but we opted for the heavy duty defender.  Definitely recommend it.

  • I also asked on the facebook group.  I went ahead with the Gumdrop https://www.amazon.com/GumDrop-Cases-Drop-Series-Case/dp/B007IGRGII/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1334448321&sr=8-1  I think it's what I imagined in my mind as wanting for protection.  Thanks for your responses!

I have this one! Put it this way my son (accident) dropped the IPAD (while in this case) down the stairs (he fall as well) not a mark on the the damn thing!

  • DS isn't allowed to hold our new iPad by himself. We let him play with our first gen. We are going to get an iPad 2 for Dh (I have staked the most claim on the new one!) and then let the first gen be DS's.

  • I have the Big Grip. It's awesome because it's designed to be easy for them to hold, and there is a stand. I am not sure about how it compares to the others protection-wise,  but to be safe, I don't let DS walk around with the iPad. He's never dropped it while sitting. And the Big Grip works especially well in the stroller for dr's appointments--it kind of wedges in in front of the bumper so it would be really hard for him to drop it

After 7 failed IUIs, IVF w/ ICSI worked!!

I am thankful every day for my miracle after infertility.

And thrilled to be pregnant again after FET!
