Preemies
Expecting #2!!!
In 2008, I had my first and only pregnancy end at 26 weeks after my water ruptured at 24 weeks due to PTL and PROM. DS was in the NICU for 4 months, had many complications, and it moved us to a different state since I went into labor out of state while visiting family members. We wanted to move there anyway, but our lives were still turned upside down after the preemie experience.
We were financially strapped for a while since I had just graduated with my teaching degree when he was born and the last thing I wanted to do was look for a job that would required so much out of me. We wanted to wait to TTC again until we were 100% ready for another one. DS will be 4 in June so they will be about 4.5 years apart. I think he knows something is up since he has been extra clingy lately although we haven't told anyone yet (not even family). We are going to wait until I am 14 weeks along.
Anyway, I am truly inspired by all of you who have had preemies, but then went on to have full term and healthy babies after. Thank you for all of your stories and I hope to join you in November!
