December 2012 Moms

Sorry, TMI...

I'm sorry that this is a little too much information but I can't stop freaking out and running to the bathroom to check my panties.  I know that vaginal secretions are supposed to increase in pregnancy but every time I feel even a little wetness on my underwear I have to run to the bathroom to make sure I'm not spotting/bleeding (even though I haven't had any cramping at all)!

Would someone please smack me upside the head?

I just can't seem to get past my fear of another miscarriage and enjoy being pregnant!

  • It is definitely normal hun :) I'd be lying if I said I didn't check the toilet paper every time I go to the bathroom!

I've been noticing more EWCM, but it could also be from my progesterone suppositories!

I'm with you on not being able to get past the fear of a miscarriage. I am so sorry for your loss and wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy this time around! :)

  • I think that's completely normal.  I am the same way to the point I've become a little tender from extra wiping Embarrassed

  • I check every single time I go to the bathroom too.  I was just telling my husband last night that you'd think I would be so excited to be pregnant, but the anxiety has pushed the excitement away.
  • I do it too, especially when I feel any kind of gush.

I agree 100%.  I feel like I now have a lifetime of worry ahead of me and DH due to this child and it's just the beginning!

  • I do the same thing!  In fact, every time I go to the bathroom and I don't spot, I say, "thank you, God."  I feel like once I get my 8 week u/s and hear the hb, I'll be in the clear.  However, I'm sure when that time comes, I'll have a new set of worries.  Anyway, you're not alone!  Us gals who are pregnant after a loss are right there with you.

  • I am concerned about bleeding as well.  I had some cramping with that feeling the other day and thought it would be the end!  I think my mind will be put at ease once I see a heartbeat because I never got to see that with the last one, it was just a vacant bubble.

  • That's funny that you posted that!  Every time I use the restroom I get all nervous to see if there's anything.  Also, is it fairly normal to be fairly dry down there?  It's such a change from when you're TTC.

Those of us who are pregnant after IF are too!  Everything you've said rings true to me too.  After so much pain and heartache to get where we are today... we all should be happy, but instead we're paranoid.  I just can't wait to get out of first tri.

I definitely race off to the bathroom to check after a CM "gush" too!

Severe MFI. Me: supposedly all clear but eggs showed vacuoles.

IVF #1 January 2012, ER Jan 14th: 34R, 27M, 23F. Day 3: 18 embies still strong. Day 5: zero "good," one "fair," the rest "poor." Transferred 3. None made it to blast or to freeze. Jan 28: BFN.

Lucky IVF #2: Transferred two beautiful day three embies on St. Patrick's Day. BFP on HPT 7dp3dt. Beta 1 (14dpER)=106; Beta 2 (16dpER)=140; Beta 3 (19dpER)=264! First u/s 4.17.

  • I do this too!  I actually go to the restroom just to check, even though I don't always have to go. It makes me so scared but I'm always relieved when it is clean.
