I will be traveling to Egypt sometime in July and can't afford a third seat for LO and will not be taking the car-seat along. I need your recommendations on the most awesome baby carrier out there. I need one that is very comfortable for mama and baby as it will be worn for long periods of time. Also need to be able to sit down in it, and baby needs to be able to sleep in it. TIA!
Re: Traveling! Recommend your AWESOME baby carriers... please :)
We took a basic peanut shell sling all over italy. Awesome and lightweight and doesn't take up space.
I can BF DD in our Ergo. It is easier to do if I am sitting, but I have done it once in awhile where I was up and walking around.
We have a Kozy Carrier (mei tai style), Ergo Organic and Maya Wrap Ring Sling. I like them all, but I think the Ergo is the most comfortable for extended wear. The other two are smaller/easier to pack though.
I would get a Kinderpack in the infant size.
I am a wrapper at heart, but for ease I would go with the KP in a heartbeat. The straps are padded, the waist is padded and there is a chest strap. It is super easy for up/down and I love that I can leave it hanging from my waist and nothing drags on the ground. The hood is perfect for naps and (with some practice) you can discreetly nurse in there. (I like to wear the straps crossed in back when nursing.) I could wear my 2 y/o in the KP for hours and not feel the strain on my back (well, before I got PG at least:) )
You can buy new or used on TBW website. They hold value really, really well.
