I was at an Easter party and someone brought Mac n cheese with corn in it. It sound nasty but was delish! I'm sure there's a recipe for it on the inter webs.
Thanks for the suggestions. The hosts are a bunch of men, so they are no help:) There are usually pretty few plates at a crawfish boil so I'm thinking maybe a finger food would be best. Maybe I'll throw together some fruit skewers.
We had a barnyard BBQ for DS 1st birthday, and I cut corn on the cob in two pieces and put it on a stick. I bought 20 ears because it was super cheap and figured it would make good leftovers. I had NO corn left when the party was over. The kids devoured it. Everyone was talking about how great of an idea it was.
Re: Kid friendly side dish for BBQ/crawfish boil?
Chips and Baked beans.
At a BBQ we would typically make potato salad, have canned Baked beans and chips.
Fruit salad? Pasta salad?
My kids actually really do like baked beans.
