The Honest Company?

Re: The Honest Company?

  • I haven't tried the diapers yet (still pregnant) but I did try the laundry detergent and soap. Both are nice. I'm planning on using the diaper bundle but I'm not sure yet if the other products are going to be very useful.

  • I use cloth diapers during the day, but I use Honest diapers at night and when we go out or away for the weekend.  I think they are great.  I have had very few leaks - the same or better than regular disposables.  I just started getting their other products.  So far I like the lotion, laundry detergent and hand soap.  I haven't really tried the others yet, but I love how natural and simple all of the ingredients are.

Thanks for the replies! I've been wanting to try the products & still trying to find an eco-friendly dishwasher liquid. I don't typically like the powder kinds. Maybe this one will do the trick.
  • I highly recommend the wash, lotion, diaper ointment, laundry detergent, and sun block-(my monthly bundle). All are great products and a great price as well. I get so many complements on my sons hair smell-haha-I just tell everyone its Honest and its Amazing!

  • They offer a sample size pack of diapers and home products, free. Just pay for shipping. That's how I tried them out.

  • Oooh, thanks so much for starting this thread.  I was looking at this company just the other day and considering doing their diaper bundle.  I want to CD though, but figured it might be nice to have some of their disposables on hand.
  • I've tried their diapers, shampoo, lotion, and laundry detergent. I think I've tried something else too but I can't remember. I got their free samples (just paid for shipping - totally worth it). I *love* the diapers. The laundry detergent worked great too. I'm kind of meh on the shampoo and lotion. Those are things I just don't love in general (I've never thought to myself wow I really love this shampoo).

The diapers a little on the pricey side but worth it imo. I'm on the fence about starting a subscription because I think DS is close to PTing. If he's still in diapers when I run out of what I currently have I'll go ahead and start it though.

Okay, so it turns out a friend of mine currently uses them & I had no idea! She just started but let me borrow a few diapers, some shampoo/soap, lotion and even had some dishwasher liquid.

I will say this: I loved the diapers even though the tabs don't always stick very well, the lotion smells wonderful and is nice on the skin, the shampoo/soap is good enough but the auto dishwashing liquid sucks! My friend agrees and won't be getting it again in her next month's bundle.

I'm going to go ahead and get started on a subscription though for other items!

  • I've gotten three month's worth of diapers/wipes and home bundles. I love the diapers! They are nice and thick and don't get that "squishy" feeling when your LO needs to be changed. I haven't had any problems with the tabs and find that they hold a lot of liquid. You may have rear exploding problems if your LO goes quickly and there isn't enough time for it to be "absorbed", so to speak, but I think that could be said of any diaper. The wipes have a nice feel to them (more like cloth) but smell a little weird. I keep a pack in my pump bag to clean the parts between pumpings while at work.

The household/personal care products are okay. I do like the smell and approve of the ingredients of the body wash/shampoo. The lotion is supposed to be unscented, but I think it smells a little like artificial rose scent. Even so, it's not overpowering or offensive and doesn't leave a greasy feeling. The diaper ointment goes on nicely and cleans off easily, but it doesn't do much to "treat" an existing rash. It's better served as a barrier when no rash is present. The hand soap and laundry detergent are nice. I don't like that the laundry detergent isn't concentrated and seems to take a lot  to launder even one load of laundry. Also, it comes in thick plastic bottles. If they offered the plastic bag style of refills like Method then I would like it more. I used the auto dishwashing liquid and didn't have anything bad to say, but it's not as if it was a miracle worker either.

Overall I like the products but am getting backed up with some items. I currently have 4 bottles of laundry detergent waiting to be used, and I am already getting another shipment. Make sure that you will use the items you select or you may have a similar experience. I will be so happy if/when they start to offer single item ordering instead of bundles. Hope this helps, and good luck!
