DH's bday is next month and I just planned a trip to Tampa for us to visit his friends. DH is not going to know until that AM. Gives me something to look forward to too! I can't wait to see his reaction the AM of his bday when I wake him up and tell him to pack his bags, we have a flight to catch! The only downside is the wife is KU, but I am happy for her (even though it happened on the first try).

Forced break due to DH getting spinal surgery in August 2011
IVF - January 2012: BFN
FET in April 2012 - BFP at 6dp5dt! Beta #1 at 9dp5dt: 82.5, Beta #2 at 12dp5dt: 352 Beta #3 at 19dp5dt: 6000, saw heartbeat and one little bean at 5W6D!
After nearly 3 years of waiting our LO was born December 18th 2012!
That sounds like so much fun - I'm sure he'll LOVE it!
I've always wanted to do something like this for DH, but I just don't know how I'd get him to clear his schedule without spilling the beans!
His bday is on a Friday and he was already taking that day off. I called him this AM and asked if he could take Mon off too. He said he was already taking it off anyways. I told him I would take Monday off with him but couldn't on Friday (even though I am). He probably thinks we are going to a concert or a game. I have done both for him the past and told him to take a day off. I don't think he will suspect Tampa especially since I wont be packing until that AM.

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

That is such a great idea, and it's going to be so much fun! Good memories are the best birthday present ever.
Two years ago, I surprised DH with tickets to a SF Giants playoffs game on his birthday (it was the year they went on to win the World Series). He thought we were going to go watch the game at a sports bar, and I just kept driving until he eventually figured it out and started freaking out

Severe MFI. Me: supposedly all clear but eggs showed vacuoles.
IVF #1 January 2012, ER Jan 14th: 34R, 27M, 23F. Day 3: 18 embies still strong. Day 5: zero "good," one "fair," the rest "poor." Transferred 3. None made it to blast or to freeze. Jan 28: BFN.
Lucky IVF #2: Transferred two beautiful day three embies on St. Patrick's Day. BFP on HPT 7dp3dt. Beta 1 (14dpER)=106; Beta 2 (16dpER)=140; Beta 3 (19dpER)=264! First u/s 4.17.
