She thinks it's pericarditis. So he has a stress test scheduled and an echo-cardiogram and then we'll go from there. The doc was very nice, very non-alarmist, which I appreciate VERY much. I feel so relieved. Pericarditis can be treated pretty easily and just monitored. We think when they treated him for what they thought was pneumonia back in June 2010, it was really pericarditis this whole time and that's why it's never gone away because they weren't treating the right thing.
DH says he'll feel better when we have a definitive answer. I feel better now. :-)
Re: Back from DH's cardio consult.
She said that if he has another attack to treat it with Motrin or Aleve, which are anti-inflammatory drugs. He's been staying away from those ever since the docs thought for sure it was something gastric related...so all this time he could've been helping himself by taking Ibuprofen, rather than acetaminophen. So frustrating!
Unexplained Infertility
