WTF Furbaby?

Last night, DS woke much earlier than usual to eat, so I was feeding him but annoyed. Then, he just wouldn't settle back down to sleep and just started screaming his head off. Normally I don't change just a wet diaper during the night (since I got the tip from dizzykates!) but I figured since he was all worked up, I'd go change him.

DS is on the changing table, screaming his head off, when my normally complacent 15 year old cat comes up and bites me in the calf! And then he hissed at me! WTF?!?!?! I screamed, which in turn made DS scream even louder - good thing that our closest neighbor is about 100 yards away, because I'm sure someone would have called the cops!

Anyone else's furbabies do anything completely crazy or out of character since your LO came home?

DH: perfect
1 lap, 5 IUIs = 4 BFNs and 1 c/p
2 IVFs, 2 FETs = 1 BFN, 1 c/p, 1 ectopic and finally a sticky BFP in May 2011!

    Dang! Apparently he didn't like the crying baby! I know my pup doesn't. When he is in the room with us at night and DS starts crying, he goes into the living room to sleep until DS stops crying. What a weird dog!

    My female dog has peed in the house TWICE in the last week. She NEVER peed in the house before and it's not because she really had to go... Not sure what is going on there but I hope it gets settled because I do not feeling like cleaning up anymore messes.

    My cat is the spawn of satan, but his behavior hasn't gotten any better/worse since the baby was born. At least he doesn't attack the baby like he does me. Even though I'm constantly abused by my cat I swore that I wouldn't love him any less when the baby was here (I have a family member who says she couldn't stand her cat after she had a baby) but he really gets on my nerves... :(

    The other night, our cat would not settle down.  He was jumping all around the bed and keeping me awake (DS stayed asleep thankfully).  I eventually had to shut the door on him to get any sleep.  He usually lays down next to me and sleeps, but something must've gotten im really hyper that night.

    This isn't unusual behavior for my two pups but I seriously want to wring their necks when the run around the house barking or whining because a stupid squirrel or bird lands in the yard, the neighbor is getting their mail, etc. Seriously it's like we're under attack and they sound the alarm. I know that's their job but I wish they could filter it a bit instead of waking up ds.

    The other night DH was feeding LO and my lovey kitty wanted loves too.  He jumped on DH's lap next to DS and was purring away.  When LO noticed the kitty, he grabbed at his head and caught a handful of hair.  The cat was all for it until LO's death-grip tightened and pulled.  Valentino jumped off and when he looked back, he gave DH a look that could be interpreted as, "What was that for?"

    Yeah he probly just didn't like the sound of the baby crying. We have a really good-tempered cat that loves everybody but even he gives lo the stink eye and leaves the room when she's screaming.
