So, I had a blood panel run at my ob's last week and I haven't heard the whole story about the results, (I'm still waiting for the dr to call me back!) but his nurse told me that something came up, and he is sending me to a hematologist...
The anticipation is killing me! I want to know what's gong on!
What does a hematologist do in an appt?
Re: anyone been to a hematologist?
Hello! I haven't posted on this board in awhile but I wanted to tell you what my experience was.
My OB also referred me to a hematologist after DD was born because she found something unusual in the bloodwork that was done after delivery. I had Pre-E and HELLP and they found Anti thromblin III in my bloodwork.
The first meeting I had with the hematologist was just a review for him of my situation and questions about my family history. He ordered much more detailed bloodwork to be done 6 weeks after delivery to see what was going on and I once he got the results I went back for him to discuss them with me.
Good luck and hopefully it comes back good!
