What is going on???

Re: what are your weekend plans?

  • Fri: Ann should be getting off early!! We discussed getting take out BUT I may try to talk her in to eating out just to get out of the house together. Since it is Friday the 13th she suggested we rent a scary movie. She HATES scary movies so I was totally floored. I LOVE scary movies so of course I said YES!

Sat: Ann works. My mom will be back from AL and we are going to a Mega Moms sale in our area. She wants to get there at like 8ish when it does not start until 9? Then we are getting lunch. My mom specifically asked if we could go to five.guys or smash.burger since my dad refuses to go to them and she really wants to try them. I will probably go home after that and attmept to do some laundry/clean the house. Ann and I were invited to go out to a club with our friends but I am not really sure I want to go with this specific group. I may send her and stay home watching dumb tv.

Sun: We have Easter with the other half of Ann's family. Her mom said she is setting up an adult egg hunt with jello shot filled eggs. We will probably stay there most of the day playing cards and eating.

  • We're inseminating tonight!!!!  Actually, first we are going out to dinner and then to see Bill Cosby (yes, Bill Cosby!) live, then we are inseminating.  But I'm way more excited about inseminating!  :)

Saturday we are going to a friend's wedding in Austin...the wedding's not till Monday, but we are taking the whole weekend as a mini-vacation.  Plan to visit the LBJ Library, which K has always wanted to do, and visit some good friends.  It should be nice and relaxing--just what I need!  :)

  • No plans that I know of this weekend.  I will probably do movie afternoon today before I drop A off with her Dad.

I'm hoping to catch some extra sleep this weekend, the past 3 nights have been late ones.

  • A rare weekend that isn't 100% planned out! :)

Tonight - regular Friday night. I rented Extremely Loud and Incredible Close for L and I to watch after the little people go to bed.

Tomorrow - the kids have swimming lessons in the morning and I have no idea what we are going to do. L mentioned that she might have to do some school stuff this weekend. It is supposed to be nice, so hopefully we'll spend time outside.

Sunday - No clue. Once again, it is supposed to be nice out so perhaps a geocache hunt or walk at the park. I also need to clean out my car - it needs to be vacuumed badly.

How do you get started geocaching?  I explained the treasure hunt idea to J and we want to do it with the kids.

  • I started at geocashing.com and then downloaded the app to my phone. I originally got the free app, but caved and bought the $10 app, which is much better (hints, photos, clues, etc.)

I just hit the geocashes near me and go from there based on descriptions, locations, etc. I am not a huge fan of it. The first one took 30m to find once we had narrowed down location (it was under a loose brick in a brick wall) and the other we never found after 45m though based on everything we were in the right spot. But L and the kids love it. :)

  • It's supposed to be sunny ALL WEEKEND! I feel like the weather has finally turned a corner here, which is so nice. That was a rainy March.

This morning I'm going to do a huge grocery trip to buy all the ingredients for the 30 dishes I'm preparing and freezing for us to eat after the babies come. This afternoon we have to pre-register and do the birth certificate paper work at our hospital, and tour the birth center. We already spent one evening there so this does not seem totally necessary, but I'm sure they'll point out helpful things. Afterward we have to go to the DMV for the third time to register our car - our lender has not been helpful. No plans for this evening - leftovers for dinner and maybe a movie on the couch if Jen is feeling up to it.

Tomorrow I have a cloth diapering class at 2:00, and besides that I'm just going to spend all day cranking out freezer meals. My mom is coming over on Sunday to help me make whatever I don't get done tomorrow.

I also want to weed the garden sometime this weekend. It's half-full of strawberry plants from last year, so I'm thinking about just weeding it and leaving the plants and seeing if they make some fruit.

  • Today--I am working from home today because we are having carpet installed in our basement. I am excited to have the basement as usable space again :) We have been working a lot of late nights on the basement so we are cleaning and (hopefully) going to bed early tonight.

Tomorrow--Our basement furniture is being delivered in the am. I have my confirmation class. Other than that we are cleaning, cooking, baking a cake, etc.

Sunday--The kids are being baptized :) then the masses are coming over for lunch/cake. As soon as they leave we are going to bed :)

  • Tonight:- Going home to r-e-l-a-x - will probably make a delicious but healthy dinner, then do something chilled!

Saturday:- I'm going to a yoga class, V will go to our friends out in Conifer and help them build a lean-to for their horses. Saturday night we'll probably cuddle on the couch (my fave!)

Sunday:- V's cousin's wife is coming over with her 4 month old baby and I'll give her part II of the sewing lessons. V is going to softball. Evening we'll probably get the BBQ on and hang out on the deck - although Denver is supposed to get snow this weekend. If it does, then we'll likely be in and sewing most of the weekend :)

  • Not sure what we are doing. We have so much to do at home, especially since C is going to be gone for a week at the end of the month. I am hoping to get the back lawn mowed. I am the type of person that would rather pay someone to mowr than to mow. C is not, however she (and the Kiddos) are having allergy issues. Ergo, I might be mowing the backyard this weekend (our neighbor mows our front when he mows his).

It is supposed to be beautiful this weekend...I wouldn't mind taking the Kiddos to the zoo.

    (Butterfly--are you feeling any better?)

  • N2A - I'm feeling much better, thank you.  I have a bit of a cough left but it should be gone in a couple days and the pinkeye hasn't gotten too bad.  Hopefully no one brings another cold home for a long time.
  • Today: We met w/ one of Blossom's (the new baby's) dads.  He was awesome, it was amazing, i'm staring at her picture nonstop, i'm so happy.  Now we are off to get the kids and dinner.  Tonight DW and I are going to visit my brother.  I'm very nervous about it since he is...sick.

Tomorrow: Dance class, tball, neice's first bday.

Sunday: not much, maybe fishing and a picnic

    Monday: Adopt my kiddos!!

We've only done 2 - 1 was in our neighborhood that we walked to and the other was in walking distance to where we were having breakfast. There are a ton of them around (1.6 million in the US) - and there are 10 or so within 5m of us. I guess I don't see if as a waste of gas anymore than any other activity we do with the kids - and given where we live, we drive A LOT (I drive about 19k miles a year.)
