So I posted last week that I had a business day trip and couldn't decide if I should lug my pump with me or just take a manual. Well I did decide to take my pump with me and make it work. So...I pump in my car at 6 AM on the way to the train station. The first break they have scheduled is at 11 so I duck out at 10:50 go set up and the valve on one flange pops off, I can't figure it out - so I just pump on one side and decide to just pump the other after I eat lunch at 12:30. So I go to pump the other side after lunch.
Then I try to pump again at 2 and the valve on the other flange pops off and I can't pump either side now. So I'm resigned to the fact that I can't pump for the rest of the day and I won't be home until 6:30.
I get to the train station and my train is delayed 40 minutes so I end up not getting home until close to 7:30 - my baby had just eaten and I was overflowing. It was a mess. Luckily my old stand by manual was there to help me out - I was only able to manually get about 5 oz. And I was able to feed DD before she went to bed - anticipating a night waking to help the situation as well.
Of all nights - this was the one she slept all the way through 930PM - 6AM.
This morning I was able to pump nearly 10ozs!
