What kind of maternity pants do you prefer?

I have always been a full panel kind of girl, but I recently tried the low rise woven waist at old navy because they were on sale and I HATE THEM. They are falling down and just don't stay tight enough.

  • I have never been a low rise hip pants kind of person, so I prefer the full panel pants.

I tell you one thing though, I am going to miss maternity pants, its going to be weird getting back into button and zippered pants again lol.

  • Full panel, all the way!  The only low slung pants I wear are pajama pants that still fit like that because they are draw string.  I may feel differently if I was this pregnant in summer heat, but the full panel is the only thing I am comfortable in.

  • I wear the full panel.  They are so much more comfortable to me!  I still fit into some pre-preg yoga pants and stuff and those are just normal without the panel- but for work, leggings, jeans etc...all have the full panel.

  • Full panel.  In the beginning when I was smaller I liked the low rise, but now that my belly is bigger I like the full panel.  It keeps my pants up more than the lower panel pants.
  • I prefer to go pantsless.  Smile

If I have to put them on, full panel for jeans or yoga for comfy.

  • I prefered the low rise ones early on because the band was tighter and they stayed up better than the full panel, until my belly was big enough to hold up the full panel.  I haven't been able to wear the low rise ones for a long time, because they put too much pressure on my pelvic area and baby has always preferred hanging out down there, so it hurt to wear them once she started getting bigger.  Now, I pretty much wear yoga pants/leggings every day.  I just gave up and don't care anymore!  LOL

  • full panel all the way. The low-rise ones cut into my belly :(

  • My mat jeans and dress pants are full-panel.  I didn't even try the lower rise ones becuase I figured I wouldn't like them.  I have a hard enough time keeping the full-panel ones up!

The only under-the-belly pants I wear are my pre-pregnancy sleep/sweat pants but that's just at home.

  • Full panel. I am wearing a pair of low-rise ones now and I am actually miserable.

    Hahaha!!

As for me I do full panel. I had one pair of under the belly jeans given to me and I didn't like them at all. Also, I agree with PP that it will be odd to go back to zip and button pants. I have a feeling I'm going to walk around with my fly down often when I first go back to normal pants.

  • I have one pair of maternity pants that are tights with a build in skirt (that can bu pulled up and over your belly too) Other then that I wear all my "normal" aka pre pregancy pants with a Belly Band - I LOVE MY BELLY BAND - it has saved me so much money and since I have not gained any weight in my legs I can still fit into all my other pants just like I did 8 months ago!

I say buy a belly band, it will keep your pants up, tight and in place!!! I can even play around the play ground with my god kids, up and down slides, on swings etc. and it never moves!!

    Hope this helps!

  • Full panel, definitely. I have a few pairs of the demi panel, and once I started getting pretty big (end of 2nd tri/beginning of 3rd) they were so uncomfortable. The band pushes on my belly too much and slips down really low. Not a fan of those anymore.
  • Funny I was just thinking about this this morning!  I go for the full panel.  The low-rise ones are super uncomfortable when I am sitting down.  Pity too, because I like the look of the low-rise panel jeans I have the best... O well!

  • I can only wear the full panel.  I had some low rise ones early on and they always fell down.  Now they just dig in and it hurts.

Of course, it's too hot here to wear the full panel so I'm hoping to survive the next few weeks in dresses.

  • I preferred full panel at first but recently I've been folding them up so that the band is just a strip under my belly - it feels less constricting and seems to support my belly better. Under-the-belly skirts and sweat pants are the best though
Nevermind me, I'm too distracted by my mini-carrots to think properly image

  • That's so funny because all of my full panel ones I hate- like HATE. I wonder if it's kind of based on how you carry. I'm carrying really really high
  • I prefer the full panel for work and errands. At home I wear the yoga style pants or just panties.
