I am 30 weeks and 1 day. So far I've had no stretch marks, no swollen feet or legs, no bloated face or feet getting bigger or hemmies or anything like that. I haven't been constipated (the exact opposite actually). The only thing that has changed on me physically besides my belly is that my fingers have swelled up and I haven't been able to get my rings off since I took them off before Christmas to make short bread. My hair isn't any thicker- but my nails grow faster. When do you ladies think I will experience all the lovely stretch marks and bloating and joint loosening?
Thanks!
Re: When will this start happening to me?
Make a pregnancy ticker
It might not. Those are things that CAN happen, but don't to everyone. I'm 35 weeks, and have no stretch marks, hemmies, or thicker hair, heartburn, or any of the above things you described. The only times my feet have ever gotten swollen are when I've eaten an ungodly amount of sodium (I usually have a very low-sodium diet).
Count yourself lucky, I know I do (though I had m/s for 22 weeks, so I guess I've done my time).
I am almost 34 weeks and have nothing as well (other then a big belly) haha
Rings are on, i can take them off every night, I am kinda tired some nights (after working 12+ hour days) but other then that I am feeling amazing and I am having pretty much a symptom free pregnancy..
Fingers crossed it will last the next 6 weeks!!
Ps. my belly button is still in - i pray every night that it will stay that way haha
I already had my little boy, but just dropping in to check on 3rd tri
I was the same way, i didn't have anything.... best pregnancy ever (both times, luckily), and finally the last month when i "blew up", i got a few little stretch marks. They weren't bad, and faded after i had my LO. And the second time around i got a few extras, all within the last month or so again... And currently those are fading, I'm pretty much back down to pre-pregnancy size, too! Even after having 2... So you may or may not get marks, but if you do, don't stress out about it, cause they really don't look that bad after a little time! GL!
YOu may not have any of them.. and not to be a downer, but I was sure I didn't have any stretch marks with my DD#1. Then directly after birth I saw them all on the under side of my belly. (they were pretty light and still are but they were there) keep checking with a hand mirror under there so you don't suffer the same delusions I did :-) good luck!
I started feeling pelvic pain at around 30 weeks. I still haven't gotten swollen or bloated anywhere (but the belly haha!). My hair is still about the same, and I haven't noticed a difference in my nails. I didn't have any stretch marks until this week--I suddenly have noticed 3 tiny ones below my belly button--so sad since I thought I was in the clear!
You never know though--you can't predict when things will happen. Every person is different--but the best to person to ask and to predict from is your mom.
Son 4/27/12, Son 10/15/14, Daughter 9/29/16....Baby #4 due 10/09/19! Apparently we get really bored in January
I know you are probably saying this becuse you think it will make you feel more pregnant or are trying to plan for them, but you can't.
I have almost all of them and they SUCK! I also have a tone of acne and carpal tunnel!
Just keep doing what you are doing and maybe they will happen and maybe they won't...I wouldn't wish the swelling on anyone. I look like a total blimp!
Hope you ladies remain free of these "lovely'" (noted sarcasim) side effects of pregnancy.
I thought I was in the home stretch when none of this was happening to me. But, when I hit my last month (around week 36) I started to retain fluid, develop swollen feet, hands and face, gain more weight, and be a whole lot more uncomfortable because nothing seems to fit right. I have only gained approx 25lbs total, but 10 of that was from week 36 (guess baby had a growth spurt), and I never got any stretch marks or linea negra...so I guess some of this really depends on your individual body. I thought I was gonna breeze through this pregnancy with barely no weight gain or discomfort, but boy was I wrong. Especially in the last 4 weeks when ur already ur most miserable (or maybe this is just in my case...), its sucks! But hopefully this doesnt happen to you and you have nothing to worry about. Good luck!
You might not! Not every woman experiences pregnancy the same. And some women have a really easy time of it. I've known a number of women who had easy and enjoyable pregnancies. It's just that you tend to hear more about the women who aren't having such an easier time of it, because they tend to be more vocal about it.
So, I'd just enjoy things as they are, and if any of the unpleasant symptoms do sneak up on you, deal with it then.

I had no swelling til 35 weeks, now my shoes barely go on.
Still no stretch marks (knock on wood) but I have a friend who also had none until days before she delivered at 40 weeks, so I know it might still be in the cards for me.
I haven't had any swelling at all. I am still wearing my wedding band and it feels the same as ever. My shoes also feel the same. My face looks the same. I have not seen any stretch marks but of course they could be hiding.
I have been constipated though, and take colace most days throughout pregnancy.
Also, I seem to have a lot of cellulite on my butt/thighs that I don't remember having before.
I'm 36 weeks and don't have any hemorrhoids, heart burn, and the only swelling so far has been in my fingers. But my rings still fit. I do have stretch marks though. Mostly on the underside of my belly. I've had a pretty symptom free pregnancy! So I'm hoping the last 4 weeks stay that way
And my belly button is still in!
