I'm hoping some of you with older kids can reassure me here. Nikolai is such a whiner lately and it's driving me batty! It seems like if either MH or I aren't either holding him, feeding him or playing with him, he's whining. And sometimes he whines even when he is eating or we are playing with him. I'm really hoping that it's a phase he will grow out of. Is there hope? Please share stories of your kids being cured of the whines. I'm desperate.

Re: Does the whining ever stop?
Oh yikes! I hadn't even considered that aspect! Hope it gets better for you soon
V has gotten into a bit of a whiny/clingy to mommy at times/wants to be held more than usual phase within the last week or two. I really do think it is just a developmental-related phase (maybe I am just clinging to that belief to preserve a little bit of my sanity) and will pass quickly.
He is in that crawling and standing like a madman, but not quite ready to walk stage right now, and I feel like that may have something to do with it. Looking back, he had some of the same tendancies when he was on the verge of crawling, so I really do have hope that he is just trying to deal with his frustration before he takes that next developmental leap.
Hang in there mama!

N is working on walking too - I feel like he's been on the verge for 2 months now but just isn't getting it. Hopefully that will help with the whining when he finally gets the hang of it. Of course, we may very well just move to me having to chase him even more than I already do!
