I flew a few times during my last pregnancy, but I think that I was past the point of morning sickness and nausea. I'm flying next week and I'm hoping that the flight won't make me feel worse. Anyone flown recently and how did you do with feeling sick? I'm also considering opting out of the full-body scan, but perhaps that might be a bit neurotic of me. Although I'm flying with my toddlers, so perhaps I'll get exempt from it anyway since they won't send kids through it... Hmmm...

Re: Anyone done any air travel yet?
I flew a few weeks ago. I opted out of the x-ray back scatter thing and got a full pat down.
It was ok. My doctor told me to walk around the plane every hour at least to make sure I avoid getting any kind of blood clots in my legs, not that she had to warn me. I had to go pee every hour anyway.
I specifically requested a seat on the aisle, not too far from the bathrooms, but also not too close, as the smell would make me want to throw up.

I flew at 11 weeks. I wasn't very sick, we had a very bumpy landing that made me feel not well but other then that was okay. I opted out of the scanner. I just asked and told them I was pg and nervous and I didn't get a chance to ask my doc first. They ladies (younger early 20's) before told me I would be fine but it was my choice. The lady who pat me down (older 40's/50's) said she totally understood and would get patted down as well. Everybody was really nice took about an extra 5 min.
However, when I travel with DS they never scan we go in the family line so I would assume with toddlers you would be automatically pulled out.

I flew at 4, 8, and 12 weeks (fly for work every month). Granted my m/s was never that bad, but I brought ginger tea and ginger gum with me. Also made sure to always have snacks available. My m/s is brought on by motion so usually getting off the plane and straight onto a taxi was the worst for me. An Auntie Anne's pretzel usually helps.
The full-body scan is nbd. It's basically a low-level ultrasound.
I try to make sure I have an aisle seat so I can get up and walk around or go to the restroom as needed.

I was uncomfortable enough during our delays to know that I'm not interested in taking the 14 hour flight home at the end of July, so family & friends will have to wait until December to see us (but hopefully the new baby will help to cushion that delay).
