Lazy Eye

My son has a lazy right eye. He has been wearing glasses since February and has to go next week to get a patch. I was just wondering if any one has experience with this and about how long he will have to wear the patch for?

    I had one but that was back when I was in Kindergarten; I'm sure things are different now. 

    I wore the patch to for a few months.  (I also had eye surgery at one point.)

    I didn't like wearing the patch - I do remember that! - but it really isn't all that bad.

    I started wearing glasses at two.  I had the patch somewhere around three and I want to say it was for several months.  By the time I was an adult the issue had corrected and I no longer wear glasses.  Surgery was an option was at the time was not a great option.  My mom knew several people who had the surgery and it overcorrected the situation.  GL.
