Hey Everyone:
DH and I have been talking a lot about when to have another LO. Our DS is 7.5 months old now. We have been thinking about trying for another one right around the time DS turns 1. Right now we pay $1600 a month for DC. There is no way we can do that with 2 kids (there is no discount for siblings at our center).
What do you all do for childcare? How much do you pay and where do you live? I live in a suburb of Washington, DC and it's crazy expensive around here.

We ended up with me staying home, but the original plan was to get a nanny since our hours were already slightly staggered (we'd need about 20 hours/week). We were also considering sharing a nanny with another family to further reduce the cost. In home day cares are also cheaper then centers but the drawback there is that it's hard to find one that is a good fit for kids of different ages. We always used in home with our son and it was great, but we chose places that had other kids his age. With the small ratios it would be very difficult if not impossible to find an in home with peers for both our kids.
