The nurses have been feeding the girls from the generic Similac nipple that comes with the formula, but an SLP I know recommended the Dr. Brown's preemie nipples. I went out and bought a few to try with the girls tomorrow.
Anyone have any good recs? What worked for you?
Re: Favorite preemie nipple?
We used the SImilac slow flow nipples the entire time my son was on bottles (until he was about 13 months). They're sold as disposable, but our NICU said we could wash and reuse them. So, we did. We probably only used 25 or less the entire time he was on bottles. I liked them a lot, and I think the slow flow 1) got him discharged from the NICU b/c he could eat without bradying and 2) helped us be able to breastfeed for 14+ months. He's never preferred bottles to the breast.
Good luck!
