1st trimester is moving at a snails pace

Okay, am I the only one that feels the first trimester is taking forever!!!  I mean, I feel horrible all day long due to fatigue and nausea...I'm soooo over the first trimester.  I am truly happy to be pregnant and love my little one, but man, I am ready for the second trimester to begin so I can feel good again.

Please tell me I'm not the only one....lol

  • I feel like it's taking forever too, but I haven't been sick so I can't complain.  I thought it would go faster once we told people and were able to talk openly about it, but I was wrong!

  • I hear you!!  Everything is moving in slow motion now that I feel so yucky... like you said, tired all the time, constant nausea.  Still waiting to see the HB too!!! (...so keeping my fx that it is there...) Luckily that is tomorrow, so don't have to wait much longer, but I'm a nervous wreck and this nausea is driving me insane.  I just want to hibernate in my bed, which makes getting through the work day pretty tough.  I know I'm preaching to the choir ladies, sorry for the complaining... had to get it out.  Ugh... snails pace. Not cool.
Anniversary DS was born 11/30/12... so in love :)
  • I feel the same way. Sometimes I think I found out I was pregnant too early. My first appointment is tomorrw and I feel like I have been waiting for months for this appointment.

  • I could not agree more.  This nausea is kicking my butt!  I am elated to be able to finally be pregnant but I can't wait for the 2nd trimester so I can actually enjoy it.

  • Ditto to what everyone said. Heard HB yesterday and felt comfortable telling our friends, went out to eat and got food poisoning.  I know its that because DH was also sick. So combine nausea and food poisoning and let me tell you how awesome I feel.  Had to leave work early today (and I am a teacher so you know its bad) because I was concerned I would miscarry since it was food related. Everyone tells me it gets better but this is my first and I am not sure I could go through this again and I know mine is mild compared to other people.  I am right there with ya ladies.  Another month and we are over the hump.
  • This. I'm so sick of feeling awful. I have already started getting up like 4x a night to pee. Wtf?

Last time second trimester was fabulous, I'm looking forward to it!

  • It is going so slow for me too!
  • I feel like time is mocking me! ONLY 7 weeks? I didn't even test until 5+ weeks... *sigh* It really doesn't help that I am not scheduled for an appt until May 3rd. *doublesigh*

  • I absolutely agree--I found out I was pregnant before I was even 4 weeks, so I feel like I've been pregnant forever but it's only been a month!  I don't have any nausea, but I am just SO tired and am completely worn out from working and dealing with a big international move.  Everyone I've talked to says that the 2nd trimester brings a whole new level of energy, so I'm just dying to get to that point!

Even though I know it's impossible, I kind of daydream about hearing from the OB "I thought you said you were only 7 weeks? This u/s dates you at 11 weeks - your last period must have just been some spotting!" But yeah, that's not something that's going to happen for real because I was temping and know I ovulated. 1st tri really does seem to creep by.

  • I am feeling the SAME way! I am choosing not to tell anyone until we have an ultrasound, and that isn't until May 17!!!! UGH!! I am having to put on a pretty face when we go out and I feel like throwing up, I am sick of it, just hurry up and get here!
