39 Weeks, 3 Days and Frustrated

Am I the only one this far along that feels like she has not progressed at all and is going to be pregnant forever???

I lost my plug this morning, which is great! Finally, some small sign that I could be having my LO soon but we all know that just because you lose your plug doesn't mean squat. She could still wait another 2 weeks to get here. Grrrr!

Then I had my midwife appointment this morning and I asked her to check me. She also asked my permission to do a stretch and sweep once she's in there if I have progressed far enough. I agreed to let her proceed.

So she checked my cervix and I have only dialated "as wide as the tip of her finger". Seriously?? That's all? I know that this can change quickly but I was so disappointed that I had made so little progress and my due date is in 4 days.

Does anyone else feel so far behind?

40 weeks and 2 days. Yes, it is disappointing. Just hang in there. All these babies gotta come out sometime.

I'm right there with you. We're due on Sunday. Last week, my doctor said my cervix was soft but definitely no baby. Going in tomorrow to see if there's any progress. Hang in there.

Ever since I was induced with my first baby at 41 weeks, 5 days, I have been of the opinion that EDDs are just mean. They should tell you the last possible day they would let you go and have that be the day you are shooting for.

Yes, at this point, I just want someone to reassure me that I WILL go into labor eventually. That one day, all these BHs and general abdominal discomfort are going to turn into something more. Because it's starting to feel like an impossible thing.

I am feeling similarly. I hope things happen quickly for me, because I am having virtually no labor signs as of right now. Hoping it goes quickly for you, too.

Yep, I have yet to feel braxton hicks, nor have I lost my mucus plug. Doc says I am almost fully effaced though (baby's head is "right there" he says) but no dilation.

I'm right there too. Still have my MP, no dilation, 70% effaced. I was told that I'll probably be seeing my doc for an office visit on Monday, my due date. It's frustrating, but I really want to go naturally. So if that means going late, then that's what we will do.

I have no idea where I am as far as progress bc I don't get checked - and I don't think I want to know. I have BH contractions, and baby is active - all seems well. No signs of labor at all - and I've had sex and eaten 3 pineapples in the last week and nothing seems to be pushing things, I guess he's not ready to come out yet

I am not really that disappointed yeyt bc I haven't hit the 40 week point (talk to me in a week), and frankly I am enjoying the time off work I am trying to be patient and stay active and enjoy this quiet time (full of sleep!) in general. Hang in there!

I still haven't dropped, and haven't felt one contraction yet...im due next week i'll be so bummed if i am really late

My first was 10 days late so I'm not expecting anything soon.... and I'm glad. My DD and I are getting into a home routine and I'm getting some things done - like filling freezer!
