Introducing Milk

Hey Ladies, Have any of you started introducing regular milk to you little ones? If so how did you start? I am so ready to be done buying all of this formula!

Our pediatrician gave us the okay to start at 11 months. At that point I will just start with an ounce or two in her sippy cup at meals.

ETA: We are transitioning from BFing though, so it's a bit different. I am going to slowly cut out one feeding at a time until she's weaned.

We're going to start around 11 months (Saturday) and mix an ounce or two in with her formula and slowly change the ratio over the next few weeks. Hopefully at one year, she'll be on all milk.

Ty is one of the youngsters here so we haven't yet. Our pedi said to start weaning at 12 months, and be off around 14. So, at 12 months I'm going to slowly transition him.

While we haven't discussed it with the pedi, we have started the transition this week (he turned 11 months this week). He gets 1 oz of WCM in 3 oz of BM (he takes a 4 ozbottle max, his choice not ours). Then the next W wks we are changing the ratio to2oz:2oz. Then 3:1 and he should be weaned by his first bday. so fqr so good, he seems to be tolerating it fine.

This is what we are going to do, but our pedi did say if we wanted to we can just switch. But she told me to wait until 12 months if we just do the switch. That's why I'm choosing to start at 11 months and mix.
