some former generation BF awkwardness from Easter - crazy IL VENT

Backstory: FIL cheated on my MIL, with several women to the best of my knowledge, and ended up marrying one of them.

This caused ripples with DH and I when I first started mothering the kids and was considerate of FIL's wife as a part of the family.  I caused a small rift with MIL that has since mended. 

Now, for the most part, all of the drama from the past mostly stays in the past.  MIL and FIL's wife aren't super friendly, but they did help plan SIL's wedding reception together without much fuss.  I appreciate FIL and his wife for being such super grandparents to the boys.  I try not to worry myself over how their relationship began.

However, when we were at their house for easter, FIL's wife pulled out a calendar from many years past of sexy photos of herself that she had made for FIL.  I was a little amused that she wanted me to see this - we were talking about dieting and exercise, but I wasn't really planning on her showing off her former figure.  BUT then I saw the date of the calendar was clearly when FIL and MIL were still together!   

Her showing this to me was tacky to begin with, but showing it to me knowing I might possibly realize it was while MIL and FIL were still married seems just beyond gross. WTH was this woman thinking?  We're friends, but I don't really want her *ahem* former whorish ways thrown in my face when I do my best to let the past be the past.  Thanks for letting me vent.  I probably won't tell DH since it would just stir stuff up.

* Sorry if it reads a little awkwardly.  Normally, I give this woman SMIL billing, but I have trouble throwing the word "mother" into her title at this point in time!

    Similar situation here with FIL, his wife, and MIL.  Once in awhile FIL's wife will mention something which I know clearly occurred when FIL and MIL were married.  Its awkward.

    It really makes you wonder what they were thinking cheating with a married man who has children.
