Emily, my 3lb 8oz IUGR baby, came home yesterday after a 2-week NICU stay. We had a great first night together! DD#1 was so excited to meet her baby sister and immediately said "I better read her a story!"
We had wonderful care while in the NICU and I would like to do something nice for the staff there. Any suggestions? I'm not sure if they have any food- related rules, so my best idea was flowers and a nice card.
Re: My little preemie is home!
Congrats on bringing your angel home!
We took the NICU staff a lot of cookies, cakes and fudge. Fresh flowers were not allowed in the ICU.
We are taking some goodies into the NICU staff on Aiden's due date (5/4/12) so that they can see our little miracle man!
Congratulations on bringing your little girl home.
We also did cupcakes, cookies, cake for the NICU staff. What about an edible arrangement??
That's great! Enjoy your LO at home!
As far as the staff, we just wrote out cards for each of the primaries that DS had and since he went home around Halloween, we gave them a chocolate egg. We would have done more, but I don't think they are allowed to receive elaborate presents from patients and their families.
